There are some big Sailor Moon events on the horizon
Hello and happy December!
Man, this year sure has flown by but it’s not over yet! There’s still a bit more Sailor Moon goodness due to hit before Christmas and New Years.
Here’s what you need to look out for this month and beyond.
A new Sailor Moon water bottle just went live on the Jay Jays website.
Hot Topic has a cool new Sailor Moon tee.
I love these two new Sailor Moon planetary symbol and Artemis & Luna tees from Box Lunch.
Both the Nogizaka46 ver. 2019 Sailor Moon musical and the new Kaguya Hime's Beloved musical will begin streaming online for international fans this month on the 10th of December. For full details on where and how to watch these Sailor Moon musicals, check out last week’s newsletter here.
The official Sailor Moon Store online storefront will go live in the middle of the month on the 14th of December. In addition to selling a variety of goods that can be found in the physical Sailor Moon Store locations in Japan, members of the official Sailor Moon fanclub, Pretty Guardians, will be given early access to certain items. International shipping hasn’t been confirmed but I personally think that it’s incredibly likely. To be honest, the online store is likely launching due to the number of international fans who can’t visit the Sailor Moon Store locations.
A temporary mini Sailor Moon Store location will open in Sapporo, Japan on the 17th of December. It will run until the 27th of March next year.
And now for some Sailor Moon news for 2022.
A range of official Sailor Moon business products have just been announced. Items range from business card holders (see below image) to keyrings and they’re all due for release in March.
You can now buy an official Japanese Sailor Moon Eternal 2022 desktop calendar.

Some new gashapon/UFO catcher/crane machine Sailor Moon figures have been announced for April 2022 in Japan. They’re actually pretty unusual as they feature all of the Sailor Guardians in their princess forms. Stay tuned for shopping links.
Don’t forget: The Princess Kaguya’s Beloved Sailor Moon musical comes out on Blu-ray and DVD next month.
Also: The first volume of the Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi Collection manga is still set for an April 2022 release. (A full explanation on this new manga can be read in last week’s newsletter).
