Hello, Sailor Moon fans!
It was a bit of a slow news week last week so I decided to take a break for a few days and wait until there was more Sailor Moon news to report. I think this was the correct call to make though let me know if you think otherwise.
Before we get into the news, I want to announce something pretty cool. One of the most common things I get asked about on Twitter, Facebook, and via email is how best to legally watch the classic Sailor Moon anime and Sailor Moon Crystal online. A lot of fans have local options such as Crunchyroll or Hulu but Moonies in other regions are often left out in the cold and have to resort to importing DVDs and Blu-rays from other countries.
The best way to get around these region restrictions is to use a VPN service which can mask your actual location and make it look like you’re using the internet from a country of your choosing. Some VPN services can even get around some streaming services’ geoblocking which means that you can watch the Sailor Moon Crystal anime on Crunchyroll if you’re in the UK and even check out the Sailor Moon musicals on Hulu Japan if you’re in Australia. While this is sneaky, it’s also a great way to support the franchise as you’ll be boosting viewer numbers on legal platforms which sends a strong signal to the companies involved that fans want more Sailor Moon. Much better than downloading illegal bootlegs and rips.

New Usagi and Chibi Usa Sailor Moon Eternal Girls Memories figures have been announced with a July release planned.
A new official Sailor Moon t-shirt was announced today and it’s a lot more expensive than you think.

I absolutely LOVE this piano version of the Sailor Moon Eternal theme song and the visuals are absolutely brilliant.

HotTopic has added several new Sailor Moon items such as some swimwear and a blanket to their online store.
They’ve also added an official Sailor Moon mask though it’s incredibly important to note that its own description says that there’s no guarantee that it will protect against any viruses. It’s cool but maybe only wear it over a proper mask while double-masking.
Still no news on Sailor Moon Eternal international releases but I’ll let you know as soon as something is confirmed.
