🌙 Sailor Moon Rocks New York and First 2023 Manga Announced
Plus loads of new Sailor Moon clothes officially revealed
Heya, Sailor Moon fans! Hope you’re doing well!
It’s been a pretty exciting time recently for Moonies so let’s dive right in with the latest news.
The Sailor Moon biggest news of the past week or so is the appearance of the Sailor Guardians at the Japan Parade event in New York City. Their appearance made a pretty big impact on social media and some official photos have been shared by both the Japanese Sailor Moon Channel and the Japan Consulate accounts.
Sailor Moon even made an appearance at the Citi Field stadium while she was in town. Pretty cool!
Fingers crossed this means that a proper return of Super Live is planned for New York and other cities around the globe.
In other Sailor Moon news:
Volume 6 of the Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi Collection manga is now up for pre-order. It’s currently set for release in early-2023. Start planning ahead! For links for the other volumes and their release dates, check out my Sailor Moon 2022 (now also 2023) calendar.
In sad news, it looks like the Australian release of Volume 1 has been delayed until August. The USA version is now available. (Both are identical, just a different regional book release thing.)
Amazon’s new Sci-Fi/Drama series, Night Sky, is fantastic and you should totally watch it. It features Aussie actor, Chai Hansen, who starred in the Sailor Moon Dead Moon Circus fan film from almost a decade ago. You may also recognise him from The 100 and Shadowhunters. There are some great surprises in Night Sky so avoid all trailers and commercials and just dive right in.
Some new Q Posket planetary princess figures are on the way featuring the Outer Sailors. Sailor Uranus and Neptune are due out in November this year, Sailor Pluto in December, and Sailor Saturn in Janury 2023.
