Hey there, Sailor Moon fan, and welcome to my latest email newsletter covering all of the recent Sailor Moon news.

With new Sailor Moon anime, manga, and musicals on the way throughout the rest of 2022 and into 2023, major Sailor Moon news is going to be dropping very quickly and at very regular intervals.
The top Sailor Moon story right now is the announcement of a new line of item replicas from Premium Bandai. Named the Miracle Shiny Series, this new product line is set to debut in January 2023 with both a Transformation Brooch and a Moon Stick boasting fresh redesigns and a new colour aesthetic.
These Miracle Shiny Series items are very similar to the previously released Proplicas (though noticeably cheaper) and feature LED light-up functionality. Japanese pre-orders are currently up on the Premium Bandai website. I’ll make sure to share international links once they’re live. They’ll likely be live on the CDJapan website soon.
Some other big Sailor Moon news worth highlighting before we delve into the rest of the stories is the debut of the English dub of Sailor Stars on Hulu in the USA and other regions. The original Japanese version of the 90s Sailor Stars anime has been on Hulu for a while now but there’s been a bit of a wait for the English language version made by Viz Media.
The Spanish version of the first season of the 90s Sailor Moon anime also launched on the Claro Video platform this week. I know the Spanish version of Sailor Moon has a lot of fans so this’ll likely make a few Moonie’s week.

Remember that documentary that uncovered the lost USA Sailor Moon TV pilot? Well some of the music from it, which is a remix of the show’s theme song, is now available to listen to on its own.
Melendy Britt, the original voice actress for She-Ra has confirmed that not only did she voice Luna in that unaired Sailor Moon pilot but she also did the voiceover as well.
Converse is releasing some shoes that are totally not related to Sailor Moon in any way.
TikTok has added a Magical Transformation filter which essentially allows anyone to make their own Sailor Moon anime transformation sequence.
Miyuu Sawai, the actress who played Sailor Moon in the Japanese live action Sailor Moon TV series, recently did a rewatch of the show’s first few episodes on her YouTube channel.
A new collection of Sailor Moon products inspired by traditional Japanese crafts has been announced.
This Sailor Moon x Moon Knight cosplay is amazing.
New Sailor Moon necklaces inspired by the princess designs have been announced.
Speaking of the planetary princesses, the 2023 pre-orders for Ban Presto’s Princess Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and Venus figures are now online. This series looks incredible.
After a smaller Moon Kingdom figure? The Tamashii Nations Figuarts Mini Princess Serenity figure is also up for pre-order as is the Prince Endymion one. Both are currently set for release in February 2023.
The Eternal Sailor Moon Figuarts Mini figure is set for release in April next year and can also be pre-ordered now.

The Cosmic Heart Compact and Spiral Heart Moon Rod Proplicas are both getting Brilliant Color Edition re-releases in February and March 2023 respectively. The Spiral Heart Moon Rod will use the same build as the 2015 original but with a brighter colour scheme while the Cosmic Heart Compact will differ more from its original 2016 version with brighter colours, a newly sculpted front, and a new stand.
